The Shinnecock Indian Nation Pow Wow
Each year, the Shinnecock Indian Nation hosts their annual Pow Wow on the Shinnecock Reservation in Southampton, welcoming visitors to share in a celebration of Indigenous heritage, traditions, and culture that has continued for generations.
One of the longest-running pow wows in the Northeast, this gathering brings together Native communities and the public for a meaningful experience of traditional dancing, drumming, handcrafted goods, and authentic cuisine. The event is open to all and offers a rare opportunity to engage with the rich cultural heritage of the Shinnecock people, whose connection to this land dates back thousands of years.
The Pow Wow features intertribal dances, drum circles, artisan vendors selling handmade jewelry and crafts, and food prepared with traditional recipes. It is a celebration of resilience, community, and living culture.
